Meet The Team
Dr Kevin qualified as a dentist in 1991 from QUB (GDC registration 67263) and has worked in general practice ever since. He also did part-time teaching back at the School of Dentistry.
The best thing about my job is – Getting to know my patients over the years and learning from their wisdom. Also I love the satisfaction of knowing you have done a great job for a patient and both you and they are happy. Having good banter with my colleagues.
If I wasn't a dentist – I could happily live as a pilot, a postman or a dancer. In my spare time I would play guitar in a rock band giving concerts for charity.
When I am not helping fix teeth in Hillsborough Dental - I am enjoying growing old disgracefully with friends, watching movies with my family, growing vegetables and playing and collecting guitars.
Heather is a registered Dental Nurse having passed her exams with flying colours in her first year of work (GDC registration 205623). She has worked with us since 2008 and does voluntary work too.
The best thing about my job is – Meeting new people and building up a relationship with patients. Working in a relaxed and friendly environment and torturing Kevin.
If I wasn't a dental nurse – I would love to be a fashion buyer or a midwife.
When I am not helping fix teeth in Hillsborough Dental - I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, shopping and sleeping.
Linda is one of our receptionists. She has a great husband and dance partner along with two older kids.
The best thing about my job is – greeting patients and making them feel welcome and gaining their trust. Being part of a small happy team! I enjoy the interaction with patients and the feeling of achieving a great service.
If I wasn't a dental receptionist – I would like to have worked in a bakery specializing in cake decorating or to have been an assistant in a bridal shop.
When I am not helping fix teeth in Hillsborough Dental - I try and be creative and organize a regular craft group and I also play badminton.
Patricia is one of our receptionists. She has a lovely husband and two grown up children, one of whom is a dentist.
The best thing about my job is – Being part of a team that get on so well with each other. Meeting lots of different people, young and old.
If I wasn't a dental receptionist – I would like to be retired now, spending my days travelling! However I would like to have been a childrens' nurse – too old now!
When I am not helping fix teeth in Hillsborough Dental - I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids going on holidays, eating out, going to the theatre and walking my dobermann.
Michelle is our Dental hygienist (GDC registration 6288). She won a UK wide award as an undergraduate on her way to qualifying in 2003. She along with her technical skills is your oral health cheerleader.
The best thing about my job is – every day allows me to meet and help so many different folk gain confidence in their own ability to look after their teeth and a smile to be proud of at the end of it all!
If I wasn't a dental hygienist – Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy would be my next choices after Dental Hygiene.
When I am not helping fix gums and smiles in Hillsborough Dental – I enjoy cooking and baking, catching up with friends and as a family taking our two kids ten pin bowling and escaping to the sun.
